Too lazy to post pitcures....

We got back from Winnipeg on Sunday evening, and I have to say, I am still feeling lazy, even after being home for a week now! I thought I would at least do an update post, since some things have changed.

Ant Jennette has requested day to day updates on what Carter has done, and although this may be interesting for me and Matt, I imagine every day may get a little tiresome (although Jennette assures me this is not the case).

June 17, 2005- A day in the life of Carter Heinrichs-as told by Mother, Adine Stokes.

6:00-wake up...make noise to entertain myself
6:25-noise louder...filled my pants...no one is coming to get me
6:30- DAD! THANK GOD (legs slam down on mattress in excitement)
6:31-Dad twinkles the wind chimes above my change table---tee hee...that is so funny.
6:33-Hang out in bed with Mom and Dad...feeling a little peckish
6:40-I wish the buffet would open, alas...it is still closed....what's this? OPEN! YIPEEE!
7:20-Get changed for the day
7:25-Play on my matts and roll around on the floor. Roll to my car and jingle the bells...lots.
8:35-Getting a little on the sleepy side, so we hang out in my room and play with different toys
8:55-Put my sleep sac on...although I AM NOT TIRED ANYMO.....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
10:00-AWAKE....HELLO? Hired help here is so SLOW!
10:05-You can TRY to put me back to sleep, but I a'int goin'
10:25-Eat again
10:45-Hang out in bathroom with Mom while she showers to go out
11:00-On the road to pick up Dad's Father's Day present.
11:15-In shopping cart, somewhere...Mom is kissing my feet...she's HI-larious.
12:30-en route home, I am sooooooooooo sleepy!
12:45-Home, and time to get ready for bed.
1:00-zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
2:00-Chad that ba*!$#@ is mowing the lawn, and wakes me up. I hate Chad from now on.
2:05-HELLO, I AM NOT GOING BACK TO SLEEP, DON'T EVEN TRY AND MAKE ME
2:15-SEE, I TOLD YOU I AM NOT GOING BACK TO SLEEP
2:25-FINALLY, relented, and I am out of my crib. Man, that woman is stubborn!
2:40-Go for a short walk, I think Mom is trying to get me to sleep-HA! There's Chad (blow a razberry at him)....I hate that guy!
3:00-Time to eat- YUM!
3:15.-Hang outside on Dad's Father's Day present---I love the leaves on the tree, they are so awesome. [sigh]
4:00-OK, I think I need a short nap, I am a little on the sleepy side. BUT, just to warn you, I am tired and cranky!
4:02-zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

See, boring, right?

Carter's doctor's appointment is next week-so I will have more medical information then.

Carter has started and transitioned well into solid food, this means stinky diapers, but much easier to clean...less runny. I guess if you are on a liquid diet, your waste is going to be pretty much liquid as well. So far he has eaten green beans, peaches, sweet potato and rice cereal. Rice cereal is no longer accepted on its own. Too bland for Carter.

Carter is rolling ALL OVER THE PLACE. We are purchasing a safety gate ASAP. We can't really leave him on the floor anywhere unless we are in the basement. Rolling is great, but it just means he is that much more mobile.

Carter's physio is going well. He is down to 1x/month (vs. weekly), and that is really just to monitor his progress.

Carter will be starting daycare with Ruth July 7, and we are all looking forward to that new change in our lives, just as we had gotten used to things the way they are right now. :) Honestly, we are really happy about our decision in child care, so it is less concerning to leave him with someone we don't really know...but it sure makes it easier.

I have no idea what Carter weighs, but he is HUGE now. But big in funny places, his legs, his face and his arms. He has a tummy on him, don't get me wrong, but he is still slender for a baby around the middle, I think. However, when he is trying to escape from the bathtub (a nightly ritual) his tummy does tend to have a few rolls.

I will likely post pictures early next week, along with the updated medical information.

Have a good Father's Day!
