Has it been that long?
I guess it has been some time since we have posted on the blog. So much has happened!
Carter started daycare last week. He is going to Ruth's house 5 days/week and seems to be loving it. Ruth claims we have the best baby, and continues to ask us if we know how great Carter is. I think we do. Carter is one of 6 other kids at the daycare, most of the kids are between the ages of 2-5. There are a few school aged children, but mostly they are toddlers. It is pretty cool though. He has his own room to sleep in (for now), his own exersaucer, and a swingset in the back yard (he has to share that!)
Carter has also been to the doctors, and everything health wise is good. I don't have exact stats, but he is almost 20 pounds now, and measures in the 90% for everything except head circumference (which he has an average size head.) This makes me think, with an average head size, and a larger body, does this mean that he won't have the freakishly large toddler head? I doubt it.
Carter's Grandma and Grandpa visited this last weekend. Grandma just graduated, and chose to start her summer visiting with Carter. Grandma claims she is also going to see Mike and Georgina in Ottawa, but we all know she was coming to see Carter as a graduation present to herself!
What is Carter doing now, you ask? He is rolling like a mad man, learning how to sit for longer periods without help, and eating lots and lots of solid food. All the main milestones they pass at this age. We are still working on getting Carter to say "Mum, Mum, Mum" and "Dad, Dad, Dad". It is odd, because he mastered "photosynthesis", and "antidisestablishmentarianism" just fine. Crazy baby.
I will get some shots of Ruth and Carter's daycare in the coming days so you can see where and how Carter is spending his time now.

hi guys! :)
its so good to hear the updates - I'm so glad that Carter is having a good time at daycare. Are you having fun back at work, Adine? I think I need to come and visit too - do I need an excuse besides that I miss you guys and I need a really good baby hug? I'm seriously jones-ing...
(oh, and if you were wondering, what with the smiley face and all, this is Ant Jennette - I can't remember my account password and all that - this was easier)
remember there are other iportant words to teach Carter besides just mom and dad - I think Ant is pretty easy to master as well. Not to mention Jennette - I could tell it was on the tip of his tongue on your last visit - a little encouragement should do the trick :) )
