Story time

Cute story from Carter's drop off at day care today. I am the second party teller, since Matt usually does drop off, so I may take certain liberties with the story.

There seems to be an equal ratio of boys to girls at Carter's daycare, but there are more girls that are closer to his age (2 1/2 - 4) vs. the boys who are 4 going on 5 this year. Therefore, the girls often try, unsuccessfully, to pull Carter into games of being the prince, dress up and the like. I would not say our little boy is short of female attention-mainly because of his toddler vulnerability.

Today when Carter arrived, Nyah greeted him (a very, very cute little girl with blond crilly hair), "Carter! Give me a hug Carter!" to which Matt figured would elicit Carter's usual shy, holding onto the leg of Mom or Dad response. Instead, Carter greeted the hug by flopping on the floor, and allowing a pile on hug from Nyah.

I just love how affectionate he is, and it is so nice to see that he is this way with people other than us.
